Wednesday, March 2, 2022 - Update on Library Operations:

Dear Patrons,

We are sincerely pleased to announce that the library is now OPEN to the public! We are happy to provide in person services and programming once more. This means, you can come to the library to use the computer, print, fax, rent DVDs, browse for books and attend programming or workshops. Please note, we will continue to offer our curbside service to any patrons who are not ready to return to the library in person, and never hesitate to contact us with questions. 

Additionally, anyone with a library card can also download the Libby app to access free audiobooks, eBooks and many popular magazines.

We will continue to monitor media releases from the provincial government and updates from the Northwestern Health Unit and the Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority.

The library's opening hours are as following: 

***Please note, we have currently designated two days for special demographics in the community (Seniors/Elders and Families) as a trial basis. This is to ensure that these vulnerable demographics can enjoy the library space without worrying about exposure to the larger public community. Please contact the library staff for comments or feedback on this trial program. ***

Mondays - Closed to the Public  

Tuesdays - 10am to 7pm 

Wednesdays - 10am to 7pm 

Thursdays - Seniors and Elders Only  from 10am to 2pm 

                      All Public from 2pm to 5pm 

Fridays - Families Only  from 10am to 2pm 

                      All Public from 2pm to 5pm

Saturdays - 12pm to 4pm 

Sundays - Closed to the Public. 


Here's what you need to know: 

  • Public washrooms ARE available, upon request. 

  • You MUST wear a mask to enter the building and keep it on while in the building. Hand sanitizing is available and encouraged.

  • Seating is available for patrons that wish to browse. 

  • Computers are available, as well as printing services. There is a fee for printing (.25c/page)

  • You can also arrange to pick up material at the front door of the library by placing items on hold using the online catalog.
