Volunteering at Your Public Library
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact Mike Laverty, CEO/Chief Librarian directly: 737-3660 ext 4401 - firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the library during our working hours. It takes a community to build a library and we are grateful for the continuous support we recieve from our volunteers. In recent years, volunteers have contributed their time in a variety of ways:
Cleaning / Organizing the basement in prepration for a Bluberry Festival Book-Give Away in early June.
Contributing to a Pitch-In campaign to clean up the property around the building.
Ongoing / All Year
Serving on the Sioux Lookout Public Library Board.
Helping to run a special event or program alongside staff by setting up/taking down.
Delivering books to people in the community with limited access to transportation.
Organizing the used books in the library's basement to help run the annual Blueberry Book Give-Away.
The library also welcomes co-op students for placements and students seeking their 40 hours of community involvement activities. Interested students need to contact CEO / Chief Librarian, Mike Laverty, at 737-3660 (ext 4401) or email@example.com.
